Yesterday, Lucasfilm introduced a new character from its upcoming animated series, ‘Star Wars Rebels’ — Agent Kallus, an Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) agent. Voiced by David Oyelowo, Kallus is described a ‘ruthless, unforgiving, and an example of the Empire’s tyranny.’ Also described as a ‘rebel hunter,’ Kallus’ position is on the ground, leading stormtroopers in face-to-face battles against anti-Imperial groups — and his combat skills are impressive, including the use of a modified version of Zeb’s honor guard staff.
‘Star Wars Rebels’ art director Kilian Plunkett describes Kallus as the following: ‘He’s pretty literally a rebel hunter. His whole task is to investigate any sort of instance of local insurgency and see if it’s the beginnings of what could become a rebellion.’

The character debut comes two weeks ahead of San Diego Comic-Con in which ‘Star Wars Rebels’ will have a presence.
